NESN Bets
The NESN Bets website was mostly an place for Sales to display sportsbook bounty ads to get users to place bets on anything that they wanted. This was supposed to coincide with Massachusetts legalizing sports betting but the legislation kept getting delayed.
I was tasked with designing the whole site. I decided to more or less copy the basic layout of NESN.com because this whole site was initially being built by me and two other developers. We leveraged the SportRadar API very heavily to sprinkle in odds and widgets throughout the sports content.
The biggest draw to the site, I believe, are the League Live Odds. Thanks to Sam Panayotovich, he got me up to speed on general sports betting and we put together these tables. The table looks at all the games on a given day and compares sports book odds across spread, moneyline, and over/under. It highlights the best odds for each game and each line. It’s like a stock ticker but for sports betting. I was very happy to work with Sam on this project and hope we can continue pushing it further.
