League Matchup Graphics

The NESN Digital Products needed game matchup graphics for all of their live game coverage. I wanted to change up the look and feel for each league, every season. We covered the MLB, NHL, College Sports, and Minor League sports.

For the NHL, we covered the Boston Bruins, and for the MLB, we covered the Boston Red Sox. Every year I created 30 home matchups, 30 away matchups, and 15 – 20 or so 4K versions of the matchups. The 4K versions were to alert the user on the streaming app that they could watch in either 4K HDR or regular definition.

The matchup graphics were used on the TV and Phone apps during live games. They were also used for game recap/highlight videos, CTA’s all over NESN.com, and promotions throughout social media/newsletters.

In my examples, you can see some variations throughout the years and leagues as well as artboards in Figma and examples of how they were used within the streaming app.
